Ok, to be as precise as possible, Im going to list the entire chain of events in detail, so get ready, this is a little long... March 16th - I had my starter replaced with a remanufactured starter at a local Pep Boys after having to push-start it a few times recently. I knew it was going bad, so it wasn't a surprise. March 16th-March 18th - Normal driving...

Someone posted a response to a previous message I left. Is there a way to change the rearview mirror from automatically starting with the autodim on? I don't like it. If there are brights behind me, I want to be able to turn the auto dim on. It takes 10 seconds to turn the feature off. Once the car is off and then on, the autodim is on again. My...

Now that the weather is warming up I might take a stab at fixing the odometer in my 94 SC2. I have the 2 new gears that should get it going again. It was clicking on and off for a couple years and then stopped completely last June. Has anyone done this before? Fred

98 SL2 stick shift. Recently bought used. Mechanic did an overhaul before we bought it and said he replaced all bearing and wear points. Should I consider synthetic oil or regular? It's time for the 1st change. Mechanic is no longer near by. (Of course.) David

Does anyone know what make/model ABS is used in the 2000 Saturn S- series? I've read several places that it's Delphi ABS-VI, and I have an Haynes ABS book that says the same, but the pictures in the book don't match what's in my car. I've also read that the ABS-VI was replaced by Delphi DBC-7 in Saturns starting in 2000, but I haven't been able to confirm...

Just curious anyone either give their kids or themselves driving a stick shift ION for the first time and how is it holding up transmission-wise? I have had my '07 ION for 8 months now. I haven't really owned a manual drive car ever but have driven short distances in many. Driving one every day is quite the different story. It took me about a month to...

Hi all...just came back from the auto wreckers with a replacement power steering pump for my 92 Saturn. I pulled it put of a 95 or 96 model, which I thought would be the same. Well, as it turns out the newer model pump does not have the EVO solenoid like my car does and the high pressure line goes in the same spot where the EVO solenoid goes in my car. Removing...

My wifes car is a 1999 Saturn SL1 with about 85k miles on it. Up until this last weekend it was running fine. I changed the oil on it and drove it a bit and it ran fine. The next day my wife reported some major problems with it. At idle it runs somewhat poorly. It seems to be missing every few seconds. When the car is put in gear, that's when it...

This is my second Saturn, but the first with an electronic digital odometer. I don't like that too much: it's difficult to read in the daytime, except in full sunlight, and impossible at night. Turning up the instrument panel lighting has no effect. Is this thing *supposed* to be this hard to read??

The entire assembly -- turn signal stalk, wiper stalk, emergency flasher button, ignition switch, shroud, and the metal bracket all that stuff mounts to -- is loose. It rotates about 1/4" counterclockwise when I press the stalk down to signal a left turn, and returns to the normal position when I release it. This is a 99 SL2 with a tilt steering wheel....

Need LF door skin for '99 Saturn SL-2 in 'blackberry' (the purple that's so dark it's almost black). No luck so far on eBay or with 6th Planet. Anyone? -- Regards, Doug Miller (alphageek at milmac dot com) It's time to throw all their damned tea in the harbor again.
