I took the chrome off at the top of the bed on my 79 El Camino to do a little body work and have a spray in liner installed. There are some little rubber clips [maybe lugs] that fit inside the chrome and then straddle or slip in a metal lug that is part of the bed that hold the chrome on. These little rubber ''thingies'' are about 1 1/4'' long by 1'' high...

how hard do you think it would be to bag the mitsubishi 2.0L in the cavalier and try a cady northstar engine instead as it is the most HP per CI v8 that I thought might fit. if you think this is a better idea. how on earth am I going to put a manuel in this thing?

I have heard that 77-80 lincoln Versailles spindles and calipers will fit on a 56 fairlane without any machine work, is this true? If so will it lower the front of the car as well? If not, are there any donor cars that would be better or could be used for this purpose? I'm having a problem finding solid and definite info about this.

I have a 327 sbc with an HEI distributor in my 1953 Chevy pu.. I've never set the timing using a timing light, I just set it "by ear". I don't drive the truck that much, but the engine seems to run just fine at all speeds. I recently put in a new HEI distribtor, and decided that I would check the timing using an inductive timing light that I bought...
