How do F1 team budgets compare with football club incomes that Deloitte  published this week. 1) Real Madrid: £236.2m 2) Man Utd: £212.1m 3) Barcelona: £195.3m 4) Chelsea: £190.5m 5) Arsenal: £177.6m I seem to recall this has been discussed before but could not find the  posting. Marcus

Are any of you in a position to comment on the technicalities of Melbourne leasing lighting from another circuit? I'm told it's being looked into. Thanks in anticipation, build

A few days ago I answered a query about two drivers of the same nationality fighting for the WDC. While looking up the records I started some analysis of the actual WDC tables. Since the WDC began in 1950 there have been 785 events (includes the 10 Indy 500s from 1950-60) and so there have been 785 Championship tables. I wondered who had occupied the top...

ITV in the UK pays @US$60M for the right to telecast all the F1 races. They get @3.5M viewers, but Brazil in 2007 attracted @10.5M viewers (wow). That made that telecast the most watched program in 7 years and earnt them a woping US$10M in revenue. They recover that $60M quite easily with US$100k per ad plus naming rights of US$10M. Compare the US$60M...

As I understood it Alex Wurz departed Williams to retire from F1, leaving a development driver hole at Williams. I get the feeling Alex wanted to finish the season in the car but he was a gentleman about it and I thought he was not phased. But then he signs with Honda as test driver. Was it perhaps the "reserve driver" status? I'm disappointed and worried...

Thought it may be interesting to look at what you blokes reckon the team prospects will be this year before testing gets underway. Please keep personalities out of this thread, thanks. I'll start off with a few random thoughts about each team. 09/01/2008 F1-2008-Preview FERRARI Montezemollo is back, Domenicali is in charge with a great team behind him....

G'day, If your in or near Spain you might consider dropping by the track as there are huge crowds coming to the circuit to watch testing. I believe the size of the crowd is unprecedented. cheers, build

I have tried to post a summary of the various test sessions in recent years and plan to do so again. It's basically a summary of best times, best laps and driver and team totals. 'It's only testing.' I've mainly used the data provided by FORIX since it tends to be more accurate, complete and reliable. I have also used info from Autosport magazine, F1...

I was looking at Alonso's 1:19.503 in the R28 without traction control and wonder how it compares to last years testing times at Jerez in the Renault R28? Thanks in anticipation, build
