I correctly called Mears and now I am calling McMurray. McMurray is one heck of a nice guy and he does a lot for charity and all of that but he just cannot compete any better than Mears. Race cars is a tough game.

During the nationwide race today Brad Coleman was taken out by bobbie hamilton. (possible payback). He went into the infield and barely touched some tires. He tried and tried to get his car going again. The wet infield prevented that. Now nascar in their wisdom thought brad needed to go to the infield care center. Some 16 to 18 laps later he is allowed...

NAPA moves on from MWR, MWR begins crumbling and folds in '10. David Ruitiman(spelling) moves on. DEI continues downslide, DEJ gains majority ownership in DEI, gets a broken DEI to rebuild. Budweiser drops KK after '08 because KK has image problems. I can't picture KK with a Budweiser. Kenny Schrader retires. Mark Martin retires for good....

You can say what you want about Tony Stewart being a tempermental fag off of the track if things are not going his way but on the track he can flat out drive that race car. You cannot love him because he is against everything that America stands for but you cannot hate him either because he is too good at driving and does too much for racing and charity...

As someone that has spent many years in the us auto industry and seen all of these jap and other manufactures enter this country with our own gov. help and tax help from the state involved generous trade regulations. The low lending rate to jap manf. from the jap gov. let them get a great foothold in the usa. i know the answer will be the quality of...

This is the dreaded dead zone of the American sports calendar with most of the major stuff done with and the rest of the major stuff not started yet. So this would be a good time for SI to put Kyle Busch on the cover. Show the car, not his mug. Kyle Busch is the Ty Cobb of the modern era. They both overcome their own personality to be good at their...

Ethanol / e85 is a loser. I live in the corn belt and it is making farmers rich but, never the less it is a loser. It costs more to make than you can get back out of it. No one would be making it if it weren't for Gov't. subsidies! I don't know the exact figure, but it is something like 80 percent as efficient as gasoline. Racers have known for...

What's the deal at HMS? They have released a driver three seasons in a row. Vickers in '06 Ky Busch in '07 Mears in '08 While the three may be unrelated, it sure seems to form a pattern.
