Now, instead of having to register an agreement to abide by the charter, new posters simply have to post an article like they would to any other USENET newsgroup. I just watched the news conference on SpeedTV about the Petty/Boston Venture "merger/buyout". I'm sorry to see the Petty family lose control, but at least they took steps to save the storied organization. I hope that the new organization will restore the Petty name to its former glory on the track. Mike

I haven't seen anything about it here, but I figured it should be mentioned. Jim McKay died Saturday of natural causes at age 86. He was the voice of ABC Wide World of Sports and of the Olympics. He was known for reporting on all types of sports and even covered some NASCAR races in the early days. He will be missed. Tom S.

After the race at Pocono, I was reminded why I like the Fox coverage sooooo much better than TNT. The camera angles and the commentators are so much better on Fox. And, I agree with pig.... I miss boogity, boogity, boogity. I sure hope ABC is better than TNT. Mike
