As I've mentioned before, rec.travel.australia+nz is a very slow group compared to most others on Usenet. Still, am a bit surprised that Cath from Texas would be the only U.S. poster so far. Coverage of Sydney/Hobart yacht race started here at 12:30 PM local time, runs until 2:00 PM. Not sure of the exact starting time of the race, perhaps around 1:30.
