Hi all, I have a 2 ton hydraulic jack that worked perfectly for over 10 years. But this Spring when I tried to use it, I found that the first 2/3 of the pump travel doesn't do anything, only the last 1/3 is doing any actual pumping. The first 2/3 of the travel offers no resistance, while the last 1/3 is normal. Does it just need an oil refill or something...

Last weekend, my battery died. I have a 1999 grand cherokee. I jumped it, and it ran perfectly fine. however, I've had to jump it 3 more times since then just to get it started, however it has ran perfect once i got it started. I'm changing the timing belt on my '96 Corolla. The hard part was breaking free the harmonic balancer bolt. I tried jamming the camshaft to keep the engine from spinning while turning the bolt, but after a few sudden jumps, I began to worry that the timing belt was slipping and tried another way.
