I drive a 94 Toyota Camry 4 cyl. I've not recharged my refrigerant until 2 to 3 years ago. The recharged refrigerant didn't even last. When I really needed it the next summer, no cool air. The store I went for recharge refused to check my car on why it went out so quickly. I noticed some DIY kit to fix and recharge (R134A) the air conditioning. It's getting...

When driving down a hill, I usually leave my gear to neutral and let the momentum carrying the car. I found if the speed reaches ~80mph, I won't be able re-enage the 5th gear without make a noise like it would when you do not step on clutch all the way. If I just step on clutch all the way and leavethe car slide, I can release the clutch and get back the...

Hi gang! Well, time to rotate tires and change oil again. My '06 Camry's manual calls for simple front-to-rear tire rotation, keeping the tires on the * same side * of the car. However, my tires are not uni-directional tires (there is no arrow displayed on the sidewall), so I was wondering if it would be okay on the Camry LE to rotate its tires...

Recently I was in a Wal Mart. Last year there basic oil change was about $18.95. Now Wal Mart charges $30.00 for the same basic oil change. Why such a huge and sudden increase? They are now as expensive as the premium oil change chains. (Jiffy Lube and Valvoline) Is Wal Mart just price gouging or should we expect the other oil change shops to have...

I'm trying to locate the connector for the heated oxygen sensor on my 2000 Pontiac Sunfire with 2.4L engine. This is the oxygen sensor located after the catalytic converter. The manual shows it is a 4 pin connector located in the engine compartment but doesn't show the actual location. Can anyone help me out here please? Thanks, Mike -- mikosh6@NOSPAM-yahoo,com ...

My father in law and I have an ongoing argument about whether or not modern emissions equipment helps or hurts gas mileage. He contends that if engines were able to run without all of the emission controls we would see an increase in gas mileage. I say that the emissions controls help cars get better gas mileage since the fuel to air ratio and ignition timing...
