I let it idle for 30 minutes. Smoke went away. I drove it in my field and no smoke. Thanks guys for all your help. Now all I have to do is figure out why it wont idle when cold. I will start and run with the foot on the gas when cold but let off the accelerator and it dies. Until it gets warmed up, then it starts and runs normal. DO I need to turn the...

Last weekend at a party, I found that I did not have enough gas in my tank to start up and drive away. Somone gave me a jug of emergency fuel called "Rescue" out of their car, and I was able to drive away. I would like to be able to return the favor, as well as score a jug of this stuff for myself. It is supposed to be stable and safe to carry around in...

Got everything togther and started it last night. First, it would only start if I gave it a little gas. It would die if I let my foot off the pedal until it warmed up a little then would idle fine. Once runnign it sounded great. But after a minute or so, smoke (or steam) rolled out the exhaust. Reving it more produced more white smoke. Liquid dripped from...

I am wondering in your experience how often when you find coolant in the oil and white exhaust smoke that the block is cracked if it is cast iron?

Mahindra claims that the car has undergone more than 40 small-big improvements. Some major improvements include suspensions, steering and equipments, the CRDe engine is smooth, powerful and incredibly refined. The handling is better thanks to a new suspension but this top-heavy SUV still sways and rolls more than you would like it to. Cars handling is far...

I've never noticed this but at least today after driving for about 40 minutes I could see some liquid(probably water judging from looks) leaking from under car just about where front wheels are. I've used AC so maybe it's just the case of condensation etc but can anyone please confirm that this is normal thanks

I need to change the fluid and filter in my 1976 corvette. I called the local stealership and by the time they are done with materials, fluid, labour, and taxes, it is around $350. They wanted over $80 for a filter and gasket! Corvette Central - $12.95 or so... I did some research on the web, and it is pretty straightforward from what I see, aside from...
