I'm looking for Honda-specific training material, the sort that factory techs would have (or have had) access to. These would describe in great detail the exact function of Honda's engine management systems. I have many OEM Honda service manuals, but their description and explanation of engine management is sketchy at best, boiling down to a very basic...

It has come to my attention that the 2010 Mustang apparently has sequential rear turn signals; however, my understanding has always been that they were prohibited by FMVSS 108 and in fact a quick google turned up a reference to a "docket 15333" 6/3/03 Sequentially illuminated LED stop and turn signal lamps are not permitted. All light sources must...

I have a 2002 Cevy one ton van. The daytime running lights are intermittent. Sometimes they work fine but most often they blink at a steady quick rate. I really have no interest in fixing them. I would just like there to be no daytime running lights. Can this easily be done on this van? Thanks, Lenny

Awl -- There was a brief ad campaign in NYC, to the effect that letting your car idle more than **10 secs** wastes gas. Iow, the "cost" of restarting your car is equivalent to only about 10 secs worth of gas. NYC has pretty strict idling laws, which, iirc, limit the legal idling to 3 minutes. I guess that could be whittled down to 30 sec! fwiw. From...

Ah, for the good old days when all my keys would fit in a keycase. I had found that leaving keys loose in my pocket wore holes in the pockets, so long used a key case. The keys for my last two cars are electronic, and WAY to big to fit in a key case. My Prius key is all-electronic (no notches) so it is not that hard on the pocket, but a case is also...

Hello, all. Recently I had replaced a defective alternator/regulator in a 1990 Mercury Sable. The battery is once again getting charged but now I notice that the all-electronic dash display is considerably dimmer (with or w/o the engine running) both during daylight (headlamps off) and at night (which was always less bright than the daylight setting...

2005 Lincoln Town Car Signature Limited. How do I release the old coolant? Where is the drain plug on the bottom? Do I have to take that irksome flap off first? And where do I pour in the new coolant? Just in the overflow tank or is there someplace else? I don't see a round tank cap like on older cars.

After nearly 9 months of laboring on this restoration, the time finally came to see if the engine would still start. The car still isn't driveable yet - it's still sitting on blocks and the suspension isn't all together yet, but I thought hearing the engine roar to life again would give me a bit of much-needed inspiration to finish the remaining work....
