We can't seem to figure out how to make the turn signals work! We have
checked all the wires and the lights work fine, but they just don't
seem to flash. I have completely replace the entire turn signal
harness and still have no luck. Also, there are multiple female single
plugs without partners and we cant seem to locate them in the wiring
diagrams! Any...

I've noticed recently that it sure seems that most 6 cylinder and
above engines are over square (bore larger than stoke) and it sure
seems that most 4-bangers are under square. There must be a reason.
Can anyone shed some light on why this is?
Thanks
Mike
The reverse gear on my 2006 Ford Fusion 5 speed manual transmission will not engage. This happened after a problem occurred while parallel parking. I had the transmission in reverse, then moved the shifter to put it in neutral and let out the clutch. But the transmission did not go into neutral. The engine did not simply stall as if it was in reverse, but there...

89 Toyota Camry with 16 valve aluminum head (3S-FE engine).
I changed (or attempted to change) the plugs for the first time since owning
it (about 40K of my miles). Two of the 4 plugs came out fine; #1 and #2 won't
come out.
I turned them as much as I dared -- about 3/4 turn on #1, maybe a little more
on #2. Then they got tighter.
I took the...
A year ago on July 9, 2008, I posted a lengthy tutorial
on performing an ATF drain and fill. Actually, the Amsoil
tutorial also incorporated a transmission pan drop and ATF
filter/screen/strainer replacement but that's very risky
and really unnecessary with the Camry, as Ray pointed out
at the time. There was lots of good info in that thread,
thanks...
I'm going to be doing some long-needed A/C maint. on my '95 Acura
Integra...I have a new filter/drier but I cannot find the location of
it in my car! Anyone have any ideas on this one? TIA,

So I got around to fixing the door jamb switch on a 2003 Honda Civic
LX. I think since it was sold new, the little plunger switch was
never properly connected. There's this rubber/metal cover that
protects it from the outside. The switch has what looks to be a
ground connection via three prongs that plug into a metal plate, and a
single wire connection...
Is it okay to use the general Armor All spray on the door frame
weatherstrips of a 2006 Camry? I've used the product on the
dashboard and plastic pieces, but never on the weatherstripping,
which is that black rubber-looking stuff tracing the edges of
the doors so rain doesn't get in.
Is there a better, specialty product for the weatherstripping?...

Those are pretty common. They don't meet FMVSS 108 requirements, but as
has been stated earlier in this thread, emergency vehicles are in the grey
zone somewhere between _de jure_ and _de facto_ exemption from Federal
Motor...
I'm having a heck of a time finding a replacement for the clear
plastic lens cover that goes over the instrument cluster on my 1998
Chevy Prizm. I've tried the local yards, eBay, and send numerous
queries over the internet, all with no luck. At this point I'm
wondering if I'm going to have to bit the bullet and just buy a whole
'nother instrument cluster...

Ashton Crusher and AZguy, you are now *officially* pwned:

two cigarettes just for the sake of old times? Well, this post and the
