For your entertainment/criticism/sympathy du jour: Last night, while rolling out pizza dough on the kitchen counter (made somewhat crowded by random breads, vegetables (tomatoes, avocados) and appliances), I managed to knock the large (~10 pound) open container of flour off the counter that I was using to dust the dough. DH took us out to dinner last night. We all tasted each other's food (he had salad and soup, I had puttenesca pizza, and DD had smoked salmon and farfalle). We were all pretty stuffed, and didn't intend to have dessert, but they told us it came with our meal (mother's day and all), so DH had a good cup of coffee (bitter, but complex flavor, not the current...

I've used the newspaper recipe to prepare Bradley Ogden's Butterscotch Pudding and it is divine. But I wonder whether there's a better way to present it than simply to spoon a dollop of whipped cream on top? Do you suppose some sort of wafer cookie might add a touch of elegance to what is, at heart, a simple comfort-food dessert? Ladyfingers? Madelaines?...

I found this in my wanderings @ * w w w .chef2chef . net And thought it might be of interest to some. Clover Honey: One of the most common and popular varieties, clover honey is usually white to amber in color and is a great addition to most baked goods and sauces. Orange Blossom Honey: Light in color, this honey has a distinctively orange flavor. Tupelo...

I bought some granulated garlic, chili powder, bay leaves, paprika....I wish I had my receipt. I just took a look at the website and I could almost guarantee that the prices were definitely higher in the store. I usually buy online since...

Chicken soup is a popular way to use chicken. The type of chicken used to make soup makes a difference in how it will come out. If you are buying the chicken specifically for soup, choose a kosher pullet (which is a young female chicken that is old enough to lay eggs). Kosher pullets are raised in a free-range environment and eat natural vegetation and...
