THE KOSHER PORK (Also Known As "My Personal Passover Story") Passover is about to arrive. I am reminded of something which happened twelve years ago. Passover was a week away. I had just read that during Passover, Jewish dog owners could only keep dog foods which were free of homitz. I was the proud owner of a dog, my beloved mutt, Duke,...

I have a recipe for a honey cake that I want to make for Passover. It uses 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour. Do I just substitute the same amount of matzo cake flour or do I need to add something like potato startch or such, as I've seen in some Passover cake recipes? I must be misspelling this, because google searches come up with nothing. Can someone correct my spelling of this traditional item? Providing a recipe would be even better! Many thanks. -- Warm Regards, Claire Petersky * w w w .bicyclemeditations.org/ See the books I've set free at: * bookcrossing . com /referral/Cpetersky ____________________________________________________ ...

My family prefers sandwiches for chol hamoed lunches, so i make the pate au choux rolls (water, oil, salt, matzo meal, eggs) to put their fillings on. The rolls work out to having roughly 2 tablespoons of oil in each one. Anyone have any way to cut that back? Would it work if I cut the oil by 1/3? Sometimes Passover feels more like Hanukkah, with...

Stop&Shop has their passover aisles set up. No 5-packs of matzo yet, but most of the stuff is there. Got the prices on the stuff I usually buy, will try to figure out what the damage will be this year. In a way it's good, since it reminded me that it's time to start the Purim baking and chametz eat-down. Someone suggested making bird and critter food...
