I have a CK447 Kenwood cooker which has developed a fault with the cooling fan. It has been repaired once and the repairman said its a common fault. The fault is the cooling fan moves along its spindle and eventually knocks against the casing. Therefore, has anyone else had problems with cooling fans? Not just Kenwood but anyother cookers as I understand...

I am on a quest. I need a knife block that appears to be out of the ordinary. It has to house: 2 Chinese cleavers with quite large blades, 1 meat cleaver with a not as large blade, 10" chef's knife, a long bladed carving knife, a long bladed slicing knife, a bread knife, a couple of smaller knives, and a steel. If it has more slots, that's okay. I don't need to...

OK I have a stupid question. I have a set of Henchels five star series knives. The chef's knife I use all the time and is now getting dull. I think I need to sharpen it. I have a sharpening steel but I know it is just for "realignment" and after doing it the knife did not cut any better. Then I have a set of those sharpening rods. It is a wood...

I was wondering if there is a quality difference between the new Kitchenaid food processors which seem to be exclusively made in China and the older ones which I think were made by RoboCoupe. I am looking for one to replace my ancient Cuisinart (so old it still has the robocoupe model code)and I was wondering if I should pick up a new 12 cup KA model...

Dishwasher noise is one of the major features in selecting a dishwasher. Amana dishwashers are highly rated, inexpensive but give no noise numbers. I emailed Amana and got the following answer. > The decibel rating is... > ADB1500AW-55 Db > ADB2500AW-52 Db > ADB3500AW-55 Db These Amana decibel numbers are very good in comparison. If they are correct,...

I'm trying to buy a food mill for my mom. She's had a tinned one for years. Obviously a stainless steel one is much easier to care for. She found the first one on this page: * w w w .creativecookware . com /standard_mills.htm But due to all sorts of pop ups I can't get to View Cart. I'm not even sure if I put the item into the cart, though I suspect I put...

As we all know, eating chinese for the New Year leads to good luck. But eating out can be very unhealthy for my family and I, so I went online to search healthy recipes for my favorite food. Hi all, Just a quick question: I bought a demo model of the Hamilton Beach 33966 6-Quart Slow Cooker (programmable) and I'm looking to find a product manual online. If anyone happens to have a PDF version of the manual floating around, could you please email one my way? I've looked on the usually reliable Amazon . com and they don't have a manual listed for...

In a previous posting I referred to an Edgecraft Electric Sharpener * tinypic . com /2yzfyvp.jpg in part saying "I never have used this. I wouldn't mind using it. But don't know if it's an OK appliance." Yesterday I sharpened one each 3", 5", 8", & 10" knife. I have not had a sharp knife in 20 years, only sharpened with a steel, except for brand-new...

I've recently acquired an equi-flow unit.... This is a square shaped dehydrator with 10 shelves. It must be about 20 years old and it appears the company is no longer in business.... It seems to have some similarities with the excalibur. I don't have any owners manuals or other documentaion on how to use this dehydrator. My primary interest at the...
