I recently thought about the taste of mayonaise after reading a recipe somewhere for the homemade variety, and also about the mayo that my grandmother used to make in Alabama back in the 1950's, and how store bought mayo tasted in those days. I remember the Bama, Blue Plate and Hellman's/Best Foods brands as having more flavor than today's products....

I saw this on another group and thought I'd post it for commentary: they were wondering if this was a common 'family' recipe of the past. Sounds like a Velveeta invention to me. --------------------------------------------- Velveeta Peanut Butter Fudge 1/2 lb Velveeta cheese 3/4 cup butter 1 tablespoon vanilla 1 cup peanut butter 2 lbs powdered sugar...

I am doing a research project on the social history of chicken. I am trying to get sources on famous chicken tycoons/entrepreneurs in the US. I also need to find famous lyrics, jingles, poems, literature or art work about chicken. Lastly, I am looking to find out if there are famous chicken laws and/or whether there has been any prominent chicken litigation?...

* homepage.ntlworld . com /barnicle/stanley/sounds/yorkshire%20pudden.mp3 I was introduced to this concoction by an English relative while still an Impressionable Young Yank and it may have been one of the reasons I went abroad the first chance I got... ;-) Since then I've eaten it, made it, exalted it, and excoriated it many times. Very...

Hi everybody, Just a quick note to give you all some exciting news.... I have been looking for a recipe for Ezekiel Bread. I had one which my wife used for a while (it was fantastic) but am not sure where it went. Does anyone have any good ideas for this? Thanks. Karl

Hello, For an article I'm researching, I've run into a dead-end -- or, rather, a surfeit of useless leads. Thanks, Gary Gary...
