Has anyone eaten at Vernon's Steakhouse on 4th Street in Albuquerque? It is located behind the Calico Cafe and opened a few months ago. Some out-of-state friends who like red meat are coming to visit soon, and I was considering this restaurant.

any restaurants in North America which claim their fame on the quality of their non-mass-channels-procured pork, or chicken, or lamb, or whatever?? I am excluding places which brag on their cooking of an an ordinary piece of pork/chicken/lamb which you could have easily found in any upscale supermarket. Eg, the rib joints

What ever happened to "the customer is always right" ? Thursday (3/29/07) my woman friend and I had occasion to dine at Las Brisas restaurant (Mexican Cuisine) on Cumberland Street in Dunn, NC. After placing our order my friend went to the woman's room to wash her hands. When she got back to our table she related to me that as she was finishing up...

Over the years, I've been asked for the recipes of several Indian dishes which I've prepared in my capacity as a professional. As you are probably aware, more often than not any requests for information on recipes etc are met with ".. . it 's a special mixture of herbs and spices...", which is no help in reproducing a dish. This is the standard evasive response...

I've started working at a new restaurant and the toilet cleaning is a grey area at the moment. Is there a law that applies to who should clean the toilets? Waiter or washing up person?

i've perfected an invention that allows making of al dente pasta, with VERY reduced energy consumption in the cooking. Patent is pending. Now as we know, there is only one business which breaks more hearts (and more wallets) than the restaurant business - that is the inventing business. So I must plan very, very, very carefully in putting my invention...

With the publication last week of the 2007 red Michelin Guide to France, we now know where serious foodies are supposed to dine in Paris. What Michelin doesn't tell you, though, is where the most serious foodies - the chefs themselves - go to eat on their days off. * w w w .thefirstpost.co.uk/index.php?menuID=2&subID=1477
