How much protein do most people need a day, someone who isnt a hard core athlete, I recently read an article in the Sunday paper that said we need about 1 gram of protein for 1 lb of body weight, that seems like a lot of protein per day.

You have to see them to believe them. The Sash bags look (and feel) so much like vinyl, that no one will be able to tell, save the smell. :) w w w .persnickitydesign . com w w w .pdsashbags . com

VEGAN-L is dead In the early days of the internet before the w w w made it big people used to have "discussion forums" primarily through Usenet groups and email lists. VEGAN-L originally created by Michael Traub was *THE* list to subscribe to talk about anything vegan. If you were vegan and knew about the internet, you were on this incredibly high traffic...

Are there any sea creatures that are vegetarian, that also make good pets for an aquarium? I'm pretty captivated by seahorses and seadragons, but I'm not sure if they are vegetarian, so crustaceans or fish might be good if any of them that are big enough to see :) are vegetarian. Hmmmm... What about snails? Are some or all of them vegetarian? ...

New work done for the August 15th, 20077 issue of the "Journal of the American Medical Association" (JAMA) says that the high-calorie and low-fiber dietary pattern associated with the "Western diet" are associated with an increased risk of colon cancer recurrence. This study is said to be the first to consider cancer recurrence -- previous studies have already...

You know, Christians don't believe we --humans and monkeys-- are cousins. Well, and even if they did, they would probably do like when they vote for a warmongering president or drive SUVs... They simply preach one thing and do the other. But I believe that those of us who live beyond hypocrisy have a greater place for morals and ethics like, "Thou shall...

Hi all My mom and I recently started a company to help teach people about the health benefits of a vegan diet. My dad grew up on a beef farm and my mom on a dairy farm - and boy did it show on all of us. Thankfully, a few years ago, they began learning about health-focused vegan diets and reversed the obesity, cholestoral, diabetes, and blood pressure problems...

Our 13 year old niece, being raised by her grandmother, announced that she is now vegan (diet not ethical stances). We would like to accomadate her as much as possible. Our first concern is nutrition. Where can we go to get some basic information on nutrition for vegan's? Tim

I am trying to recreate a kung pao tofu I had at a restaraunt and it is pretty close except that the tofu cubes are still not the same as the leathery/chewy ones in the restaraunt dish. Any advice would be appreciated.
