Hello, Brand new to usenet. A search for the wiring diagram from a 1997 Cadillac Catera has brought me here. My project at hand is to transplant the bose sound system into my 1994 buick bonneville. Is anyone willing to offer a hint as to where I might be able to locate a diagram that will allow me to decipher the wiring connections for the components and...

I got some new door speakers and would like to get them installed tonight but realized I don't have a door panel popper tool. I know you can get them online but obviously if I'm going to try and do this tonight, that's not an option. Does anyone know where these can be picked up at a brick and mortar type store? Thanks -- ichbinroot ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ichbinroot's...

What do I need to do in order to feed the outputs from a typical aftermarket receiver into a Monsoon sound system? Specifically, I've been told that some sort of adapter circuitry is (or once was) required in order to convert the normal output level from a typical receiver into the different (lower?) level expected by a Monsoon amplifier. Exactly what...

Hi, so I just bought a Sony Sony MEX-BT2500 receiver for my car from a US mail order site. Unfortunately it doesn't tune to most of my favourite stations in the United Arab Emirates - everything seem to be working fine otherwise though. I see US radio's generally don't support RDS and I note now this radio does not support European Tuning (0.5khz...

Hi group, I apologize if this is not the right group. I have got a CD with a number of radio plays in mp3. Sadly enough, my car CD player does not accept these files. Nero 7, however, can convert mp3 files, only I don't know the correct output format. Have you got any suggestions? TIA, Mike -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ www.majaeger.de ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The...

I just bought an old car with a modern stereo, a Panasonic CQ-C1300U if it matters. The stereo turns on and reads CDs. However, it makes no noise at the speakers. Any time the stereo is on, there are 12-13 mV and 5-6 mA, steady, at the speakers. No voltage or current when the stereo is off. I attached a known-good speaker and got no noise. Can anyone...
