Hi, I purchased a pair of floor standing speakers by "Audio Design Laboratory" from Boulder, CO. These stand a bit over 2 feet tall and are a 2-way speaker with a bass port and a treble control on back. No mention of model number but they look they were high end speakers back in the day. Recent windfall has allowed me a small bit of geld for equipment...but I have no idea which way to go. Hi, After the ADC has converted the sound into voltages in n-bit format, is there a mathematical way of determining what would be the least and maximum voltages that could be theoretically recorded ? Let us limit the discussion to PCM only i.e. .WAV files on a CD. Regards, Nags.

Will an Arcam Alpha 9 integrated amplifier comfortably drive the average 4 Ohms nominal loudspeaker system? I understand that it is rated at 70 wpc into 8 Ohms, but I can't find any info on what it will do into 4 Ohms. Any info on this would be of great help. Thanks in advance. -DJ

I have a Sony STR-DA2000ES which has an "IR Remote" input and output on the back of it. There is no mention of it in the instruction manual and I dont know what it does. Can I some how use the outputs from my universal remote RF base to output IR commands directly into the back of my reciever?? What size plug would I need? This is driving me nuts! ...
