Hi, so I'm trying to put a home studio together: got a pair of Alesis M1 520's (best you can buy for $200) http://www.zzounds.com/item--ALEM1ACTIVE520 with a Behringer XENYX 1002 Mixer ($69) http://www.zzounds.com/item--BEHXENYX1002 So, I hook everything up, I plug in a cd player, and I see (ok, I 'hear') lots of detail and all of that, acoustic...

Hi, i just got a copy of the new Sinatra compilation CD (all the best), and wow...they totally remixed some of these songs completely. They even changed the arrangement of instruments in the stereo spectrum (Summer Wind), and then removed some reverb from his vocals on other tunes. Are these from some remastering/mixing sessions that took place in...

Obviously there are many different ways you can remix an existing track, so if you know of any of the general rules about what you can and can't get away with, infringement etc, then please note them! As for my current situation, it's a little bizarre. I have a really old Yamaha keyboard that has some "original" demo songs on it. They are pretty cheesy....

I have the WaMiRack 192X. Can this interface be configured for 8 inputs? I use Sonar 4 with the MME-driver working. Sonar says it sees 6 inputs but the ones on the back seem to be connected directly to the front. Any help would be appreciated! Reagrds, Marcel

Hey guys I am trying to make this box on my wall. I think it is called a half normaled patch bay: http://bgst.dk/box3.gif It is supposed to work like this: 1) I plug a synth in the lower socket and it is connected to my mixer. 2) I insert a cable in the top socket and the signal from my synth runs through that cable and is disconnected from the...

Sterling silver jewelry is synonymous with class and style in the world of fashion. Its versatility and flexibility make it a welcome and useful addition to any person=92s wardrobe. Sterling silver jewelry epitomizes classic simplicity in itself, but as the setting for gemstones or combined with other precious metals, the aesthetic value it lends to the...

It's been time to update my old 266 MHz Pentium studio computer for a few years now. After years of indecision and not being able to find out enough about what was available to decide what components to buy, I bit the bullet and bought a ready-to-go brand new Dell for $400 at Micro Center. It had enough power to do everything I needed, came with WinXP...

I just got a Crown XS500 off e-bay. It seems to work fine, but its fans sound like little whiney turbines. Not a big deal in a live sound environment, but still pretty loud. Way louder than my Altec 9444A. Does anyone have first hand experience with this amp to know if this is a sign if impending fan failure or is it normal? Thanks
