Anybody knows where I can get Casio PX-200 Coax Power Plug? It appears to be non standard size. Appx: 1.1mm ID and 4.75mm OD. Nobody I checked has it. Very good move on part of Casio to charge their customers rip off prices for their flimsy, unreliable, unregulated power units. -- Serge Stodolnik. Getting mains breakers tripping out on an installation with around 4kW of distributed amps using switching PSUs. Currently they are all running off one powerpoint through one switch. I would guess that it's the inrush current. Is there any standard way of getting around this apart from staggered startup eg some mains inductor? Anyone else had this probl...

Hi, Can someone please help me identify the part number for the front cover / face plate? I badly scratched the front of my receiver near the volume knob and would like to replace it. Thanks!

My sister found an old record dated 1948 that was created by my family using some kind of record cutting device. It is the only recording we have of another sister who died in 1968. She had sung professional and much to the dismay of the family all of the recordings ever made of her singing were lost or destroyed over the years. So needless to say, the...

I've been reading about some of the myriad complexities involved in creating LP's, and it seems a lot of the difficulties stem from the fact that the speed of the surface changes - i.e. slows - constantly. Strictly from a standpoint of reproduction, wouldn't a cylinder configuration have been more advantageous for high quality reproduction than the platter?...

Hi, I have an IEM system with a faulty receiver antenna. It is a screw in flexible wire thing about 6cm long. Is it possible to substitute a length of wire as a temporary fix til the new antenna arrives? I don't know how these antennae are constructed - is it just a long coiled wire? Does it have some termination on the end? What length would work? The...

Poopie Stevenson says he came to RAT to learn. He won't learn anything by abusing as morons the leading men, who've all done many times what Poopie is trying to learn to do,. Yet that is what Poopie has been doing for the four or five years since he arrived on RAT promising to be "on your arse". RAT, for those who don't know, is a thermionic tube/ valve...

I have a Philips CD burner, The left side, the writer, works perfectly. But the right side, the player, will not eject. I pulled it out and noticed that the mechanism felt like the lubricants had gummed up with age. I could slide the whit gear lever on the bottom and it would open, but it was stiff. What's the best way to clean this so that it will work...

Anyone know of a cheap way to send audio over say, 10 meters. Must take a 12v or lower supply and be low power draw. Maybe bluetooth or 2.4ghz, must be be fairly hi-fi. Particularly something I can obtain in the uk!

Does anyone know a cd burner that can be attached to the tape outputs of an integrated amplifier so one doesn't have to use a computer to copy LP to CD? Thanks for any info, Edward Morris
