I have an older Bose QC2 Head Set. The adjustable right side slider is cracked and broken. Anyone know where I can get parts for this? I'm a bit dissapointed in the structural integrity of this expensive headset. M

http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?from=R40&_trksid=m37&satitle=voltohmyst&category0= The RCA VoltOhmyst is a usable shop classic that nicely complements the modern DMM for convenient and fast use where a meter movement is desired but the straight VOM loads the circuit too much and/or is easily slammed by high voltages by accident. These are...

The best bookshelf speaker at a reasonable price is made from a length of flue tile. Flue tile is a rectangular, rounded corner shaped channel made out of a medium refractory brick or ceramic product that resembles the red or orange common clay pot for plant use. It may be glazed and fired in a kiln or painted with standard urethane paint products or used...

Hi, It seems that a cheap PC could act like a 4 drive network storage units for the price of a dedicated 2-drive unit, with lots more flexibility (light SOHO application, but need lots of capacity)? I assume it would be like a regular server, but used for files only, with both the main board and drives able to go to standby mode while not being asked to...

"What is it." Caddy said. "What are you trying to tell Caddy. Did they give him some headphones, Versh." "A set of RCA Lightweight Behind the Neck Headphones." Versh said. "He saw the fashion caps and ran right down here." "What is it." Caddy said. "Did you see those colors and think it would be Christmas. Is that what you thought. Christmas is the day...

Guys, I've finally gotten a bluetooth-based signal across my living room - Sony-to-Sony, going TV out to headphone. But the %&!@ stereo connectors - those 25-cent gadgets - are pure qurappe, and contact at the headphone end is a frustrating hit-or-miss adventure. Mostly Radio Shack stuff. Any sources of quality connector pieces around? Ones really...

Hi I am a student in the UK who wants to record lectures as well as wanting an MP3 player to replace my cheap £15 one that has just packed up. I would want something that I can download the lectures onto computer and preferably in MP3 format although I guess that's not essential. I guess a reasonable quality of recording is important although it doesn't...

I copied some files from a 20-year old CD and converted them to mp3, and burnt them to a CD. Upon playback, there is some distortion. Could this be the mp3 conversion process causing this? I use a tool called "Audio MP3 Sound Recorder" which captures the soundcard stream, and then converts it to mp3. The conversion works fine on some things, i.e....

Greetings. I am looking for advice on how best to connect an MP3 player to play through a traditional Kenwood amp. The Amp has Aux, Tuner and Phono IN connections and using a two plug- to-ministereo plug cable I figure I should be able to run the MP3 player through the amp to the speakers. But what is the difference (if any) between these different source...

I have a DAC960 to which I performed the Gary Galo/Walt Jung Pooge 5 mods some years ago (early 90s?). While functioning it was a superb unit, the Pooge mods effecting an unambiguous improvement. I loved that thing. I believe the malfunction resides on the digital side since the analog sections are working. It is uses a TDA 1541A crown DAC. I will...
