Tonight I played music with vitality and passion: Camillie O'Sullivan (an old demo disc which was later issued as A LittleYearning, see http :// www .camilleosullivan, com / ) -- nobody can touch her for Jacques Brel songs The Bonzo Dog Band -- Funnier than Monty Python, better musicians than the Beatles, a more driving rhythm than the Beach Boys (and that's when...

I'm having trouble understanding how to implement this in a test. The items (Eb + Ec2 = 240)appear on a set of plate voltage curves for plate current vs. control grid . Does this mean that the plate and the screen voltage are the same value per curve, the plate voltage and the screen voltage are added together per each curve, or the screen voltage...

I'm curious if anyone has seen, heard, whatever this amp and have opinions on how he gets the 35 watts from a pair of 6BQ5s. Manufacturer's site. http :// www .ramlabs-musicreference,com /rm10mk2.html From this thread, and two message on down, he explains he runs 700V plate with 350V screens at 30mA for the pair and 14.2k PP. http :// www .audioasylum, com /cgi/m.mpl?forum=tubes&n=61139&highlight= The...

Hello. There are TV triode-pentodes in abundance, and cheap e.g., 6BL8, ECF80, etc. I am wondering, can pentode sections of these tubes be used in a audio stages? If yes, then the pentode can be a first stage, the triode, directly coupled, can work as a phase splitter with split load, and a couple of push-pulled EL84s can follow. It sounds like a simple...

Patrick Turner said: "Reactive network math is anything but easily understandable." then Doug Bannard said: "Reactive network math is really not at all difficult." to which Patrick replied: "Oh yes it IS. I don't know ANYONE with any clue how to calculate networks. They all get stumped on 'j' and square root of -1, and other utterly ...

I'm new to this and just figuring out how to use newsgroups so please bear with me. I'm in the process of testing a large quantity of 6EJ7 vacuum tubes. I have access to power supplies, scopes, signal/pulse generators and many other labe grade instruments. This is what I'm attempting to do. I have been varying the control grid voltage from -2 volts...

Original Schematic: http :// 2xl.homelinux,com /riverty/Transmitter-6L6.jpg With my edits (or current): http :// 2xl.homelinux,com /riverty/RTTransmitter_6L6.jpg The goal is to simply get more audio. I'm not a pirate, more POWER is not needed so please don't think that. There is something in the circuit that limits the audio. I can hear it when I...

Would somebody please respond to this - by email would be preferable, but to the newsgroup is fine! - so I can see if it's even getting posted? I have yet to see my FS item that I've posted twice. Thanks, Bill

How you make a tube amp to sound like another in terms of circuity . I tried to google this amp schematic w/o success , does any one knows where to find this amp schematic ? Thanks EC...
