I was looking at a brochure for an LCR bridge today. It could measure the Q (quality) factor of Capacitors from 0.000 to 19 999 What does this tell one in selecting caps for use in tube amps? I am familiar with the term Q (Bell curve) in audio equalisers. -- Iain

Update on my Compact Mono Block amps. After a lot of listening and measuring, my amps have returned to triode- connected form. Output is down to around 30 W (AB1) and feedback is now -14 dB. I have posted a few scope shots at 1 KHz, 10 KHz and 20 KHz w/ 4 ohm R load at about 15 W out on the ABSE binaries. Amp will stay stable with down to about .68 uf...
