Hi everyone, I'm looking to buy a 1990 K75s...for $2,000. It's in great shape except for a few things. 1) Bent handlebars (a $200 dollar replacement charge) 2) broken speedometer (it says 19,000 miles on it, and current owner said he didn't know it was broken until I came back from the test- ride) 3) fairing is loose, when riding, it wobbles up and...

Hi to everyone. I'm new to this particular group and would like some feedback from anyone that has the time. I havn't owned a bike in about twenty years, but have the itch and would hopefully like to get back in the saddle again. Some of the guys that I work with purchased Harleys over the past couple of years, but it put them all in hock up to their...

What are your thoughts? Has it gone down or stayed about the same? And has anyone seen any official stats yet?

Here's a local news article in the Washington Post today. This concerns the so-called Gatzos that photograph license plates of cars entering against the red signal at intersections thus equipped. I doubt, however, that speeding violations are issued automatically in spite of the reference, below, "'It's unconscionable that these [cameras] have been inoperable,'...

Hi, I'm looking for an independent shop that knows BMW oilheads in the state of Delaware, preferably New Castle Co. I'd prefer to stay local to save on sales tax as well as to be able to take mass transit to and from the place while I'm bikeless. If any official BMW shops in the area (AFAIK the closest are now south Jersey and the Baltimore MD...

A must read for Grandparents. Those who aren't will love it, too. At one point during a game, the coach called one of his 9-year-old baseball players aside and asked, "Do you understand what cooperation is? What a team is?" The little boy nodded in the affirmative. "Do you understand that what matters is whether we win or lose together as a team?"...

Well, Edmonton has definitely been behind Calgary in terms of warming temperatures but, this past weekend, I figured things were good enough to get the new bike out on the road. Man, if felt good to get back on 2 wheels again - especially so when it's on a new bike. I put together a Web page, writing up some of my initial impressions, if you'd care...

I rode in last night. Riding through the agricultural wilderness, east of San Francisco, in the late afternoon. Rode over the Bay Bridge at about 8:30 PM . I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Embarcadero. It was an incredible ride. Earlier, I had to exit the 80 at Dixon, as the sun was blinding the cagers and they were stopped up like a colon with a blockage....

Temps here in CT reached the high 40's today so I had to ride. It was just warm enough for a sweatshirt & windbreaker... The roads were dry and not much sand - not much snow so far this winter. I can't be much crazier than the guys I saw driving around in a convert with the top down...

More on excessive speed. Well, here I am posting from Topaz Lodge, in Nevada. Yesterday, I decided to ride in to Carson City (No whoring) and Reno. I was just putting down Hwy 395, towards Gardnerville. There were literally hundreds of bikes out, yesterday. I guess it was the nicest day, up here, since fall. I waved to a blue RT passing in the opposite...

Afro-Americans are so tough they beat up old ladies. Very impressive! They are all bluff anyway. Stand up to a loudmouth Afro-American and they will back down every time. They only win when you give up and give in. > SAVAGE BLACK THUG MUGGER PUNCHES 101 YEAR OLD WHITE LADY IN THE FACE 3 > TIMES SHARPLY AND PUSHES HER TO THE GROUND STEALING HER PURSE !...
