Hi everyone! I was checking the fan on my bike's radiator--I stuck a screwdriver in there to turn the fan blade. It turned but it doesn't "coast", I had to push a bit to get it to turn at all. Is this a sign that it's stuck? Or, is it connected to a motor and that's why it's hard to turn the blade? If it needs fixing, is it hard to fix? Or should I...

How many motorcyclists does it take to change a light bulb? *1 to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed 14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could have been changed differently 7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs 6 to argue over whether it's "lightbulb" or...

Question: How does the integral 8" zipper found in many cycle jackets attach to cycle pants? It's apparent that the bottom of the zipper comes off the jacket and is sewn to the pants, but in what configuation? This applies to Joe Rocket, AlpineStars, Fieldsheer, etc., jackets/ pants. Thanks in advance.

I was reading the latest catalog at lunch. During the week I had, among other things, relined 25 sets of vintage Lotus race car brake shoes with NOS Ferrodo asbestos linings. This stuff is nearly impossible to find and prized by racers. The catalog shows brake shoes and pads, "made with non-asbestos low friction linings to avoid sqeaking". Low friction...

Old story you've heard over and over. Serious rider 20 years ago, haven't ridden in 15, wants to get back into it. I researched all over, including here. I was all over the map. Cruiser? Sport Touring? Adventure Sport? Since I couldn't make up my mind, I went with what I know. I bought a 1995 Honda Nighthawk 750. After all, who needs payments?...

Only a view things out of the ordinary at our annual show. The Kawai/Triumph/BMW dealer had NO Triumphs on display. The Yamaha dealer for the second time had a FJR1300. There was no new Concours or ST1300 to do an eyeball comparison though. No new Urals either (the one on display looked like it was original WWII) other than the one entered into competition...

All hvy bikes merely overload the unsprung components to improve the ratio . Thus one could achiever perfect compliant adaptive suspension on a RC51 or R6 or CBRxxxRR for the allready sturdy unsprung components . Notice the "trade-off" by lessening the suspension travel on sport bikes ! The first error was inverted shocks. ...

Now that i have your attention.... i will take the counter .... Fixed displacement engines can't get economy . All the rules state , the engine must produce high H.P. from a small displacement . We need new rules , for efficiency . Displacement must be very high . -------------------------------------- The Honda I-VTEC is...

Do they exist? Other than snow/ice covered roadways I mean. Let's assume roads are clear and dry, or maybe wet (from recent rain or melting snow OFF the roadway, where the water is running across the roadway). One site I had to visit recently for work, I was turned away at the gate. Reason I was given is that supposedly road conditions were unsafe...

All: About 8 hours ago I took possession of my new bike - an '07 Suzuki SV650. Given that my first bike was a '94 Magna and my second an '02 Shadow, of course I expected this one to act...let's say...a little differently. And while I can appreciate the fact that it's not the fastest bike on the the block, all I can say is...damn the thing is nice! Heck,...
