Dang, been a long time since I ventured into RMD land! Headed up to SD, MT, and then ID to score the ISDE Qualifier here in a few weeks. Thoughts of Idaho reminded me of RMD and I thought I'd hop on and see whats up. Looks like a lot of the same names are still here! I remember when I was an A rider and didn't really care about points or my finishing...

I got a 1994 Ford Escort for free the other day and now I am trying to get to start. I jumped it to get to where I live but now it is being a piece of shit. I removed the starter and tested it with jumper cables and it worked great. I tested the hot wire to the starter and it lit right up. The black wire to the solenoid, however, shows little voltage with...

Hey all! I purchased a magnetic drain plug and put it in last oil change. I just went to change the oil (97 KX250) and the plug head just broke right off! Surprisingly 'casue I have a skid plate so I highly doubt anything (rock, etc.) caused it! Now I have the rest of the plug (threaded part) still in the cases. I've never used a tap-and-dye (or is...

My teenage daughter had her first hard crash the other day. She is ok.. just shook up. I let her go ahead of me to the back yard while I warmed up the chase bike. All of a sudden my cell phone rings, it's my daughter and all I hear is "dad I crashed", "I can't get up". I run around the back to find her about 10 feet from the bike, just past the jump. Scared...

A few guys I know from the shop set out to go riding this past weekend. Destination ...Upper Tellico plains in Tenneessee Near Murphy N.C. Long story short.. they were not very prepared. On Saturday two of them departed the camping area for a ride wearing shorts and t-shirts. They got lost...no water ...no food...no communication device and they...

I was shopping for a CR80 chain/sprocket, and was suprised to see that they use a 420 chain size, which I assume is the same as all of the little play bikes, all the way down to an XR50. What bikes use a 428 chain? JayC

an easy, twenty minutes jobs turns into a 4 hour nightmare? Friday night. I wasn't in the mood for anything but staying home and playing MTX (neat MX game for PC). Well, until PC hang and I was left with nothing to do. Well, I thought, I could use the spare time to replace the rear brake pads on my bike, afterall, I have the pads already and bike needed...

Driving along the Montauk Hgy in the Quogue/W.Hampton area a few times I noticed dirt bikes riding along the southern side on a trail. Anyone know if it's a legal trail and/or how to access it? Thanks!

There's a first time for everything. While riding the track yesterday, my throttle stuck. I nearly had a very bad crash, but somehow saved it at the last second. This is one more strike against the auto clutch. Even with a manual override, at high RPM you cannot disengage the clutch. I will be replacing the throttle cable, inspecting the bar assembly,...

I've been trying to get on the ups.com site to track a package for 2 days, and it will not load. Is it just me and OSX being single out? I'd appreciate it if someone could try to get on the tracking page and let me know... -- Charles '99 YZ250

I need two M10x1.25 flange nuts. I found those for something like $2.50 a pop, so that's less than driving around to a few hardware stores and they won't have them anyway. The BRP handlebar clamps which I curse came with JIS bolts and nylok nuts. The nylock nuts don't allow room for the socket wrench to hold them as they sink into the recess of the Gas...

Returned to the scene of the crime today with the digital camera. The local pros were out in force and airing it out. The boys and I were impressed. Here are a couple of very short vids taken with my digital camera (sorry for the quality and sunlight glare). This one takes a bit before the action starts, but there's a nice turn-down X-up in the...
