A kid was killed at a local indoor track recently. * w w w .mlive . com /flintjournal/index.ssf/2008/04/few regulations restrict motoc.html A couple of years back an adult was killed a another local indoor track. I'd characterize both as freak accidents. The adult crashed on a jump, broke his neck and died instantly. I used to ride that track but quit...

Well, I might sell my boat and get a chase bike after all. Sat the kid on a 150, she could touch the ground, but nothing bigger or she will have to grow into it. A 150 should do us fine. Here is a slap down page of two vids of my little racer in the back yard.. You will see why I don't want a 250 for our track. * trip-reports . com /rmracing/index.html But...

Dad would've been 76 today. Tipping one back in his honor as I type. We always said he was born a day late... --Wuds

After being married for many years, I took a careful look at my wife one day and said, 'Honey, when we got married we had a cheap apartment, a cheap motorcycle, slept on a sofa bed and watched a 10-inch black and white TV, but I got to sleep every night with a hot 25-year-old gal. 'Now I have a huge home, a Bunch of expensive motorcycles , nice big bed...

I became curious today and decided to search YouTube a little to see if I could find any video of Rhino roll-overs. The aforementioned lower leg injury problem was still in the back of my mind, so I paid careful attention to what happens in a Rhino roll. Apparently the temptation to extend a foot outside the vehicle as the roll begins is overpowering....

"Wisconsin authorities will consider filing charges in the case of an 11-year-old girl who died on Easter Sunday of complications from diabetes that went untreated because police say her parents' obscure religious beliefs do not allow medical intervention." * abcnews.go . com /Health/Diabete...4536593&page=1 I have seen clips of faith healing and similar...

Today I got to meet the over 60 class Baja winner, Gary Colbert. A friend and riding buddy is renting an apartment from him and told me his story. I stopped by to see if he was there and happened upon Gary. We had a nice conversation about riding and racing at age 63. He is the Canadian motocross champ as well as national champ here. I was honored to talk...

I've been thinking about trying over the boot riding pants for a while now, mainly because I'd like a couple of pockets in my riding pants. Seems like my riding pants tucked into my boot is what keeps the knee pads in place more than the straps. I would think it would get uncomfortable if I had to cinch the knee pad straps up tighter... Do those of you...

Need some fork boots. What are the pros and cons of those neoprene skins that cling tightly to the fork? I would use the full-height ones, not the shorties. My 2 biggest concerns are 1) Durability- I'm often pushing my way through thorns, prickers, locust bushes, and just generally using the forks to push fallen trees outta the way. Nothing bigger...

Call me crazy, but unlike the custom pit bike craze I think I could get into a custom Rhino if I had the money and a ranch to use it on. The accessories aftermarket for these things is mind-boggling, and you can truly create a one-of-a-kind ride. Just think how handy they'd be for shuttling RMDers around at RMD Land Cycle Park. :-) I wouldn't...

A guy down the street has a 50cc trials type bike for 750 bucks but I thought I would solicit here first. If I make it to a spodefest this year I'll be bringing him and the wife. After all somebody has to create dust in the campground. Rick.

Yo RMD, Having missed the solid dependability of my XR400 amidst my fleet of CRFs all needing substantial maintenance at the same time, I looked for and found a '97 XR250 whose previous owner hadn't ridden it hard and put it up wet as everyday practice. This was no small task as there is much abused more than used junk out there and many clueless have...

I left work early on Friday to put on a new chain and sprocket before a saturday ride. I've had the parts in the garage for two months, but had no time to work on it. Surprise #1: While the mounting hole pattern matched, the new spocked has countersunk bolt holes, the old one is counterbored. A hour spent running to Ace Hardware & back for 10mm...

Dear all, given the fact that the dirt will always be out there, there is no need for nownownow. As things are at this time, i cannot generate enough wrenchingtime for even just 1 runner, let alone ride it. Sure enough, trueblood will crawl when unable to stand, but this is getting kinda ridiculous. In a "normal" workingweek i get waaaay into debt...
