I've found my IR non-contact thermometer valuable in detecting cylinder to cylinder differences on the KZP. It's easy to find one that's rich, or lean or not running. I had a $100 Amazon gift certificate burning a hole in my pocket....OK it was actually about to expire and decided to get an entry level HC to test the waters. I bought the Oregon Scientific ATC-2K (IIRC, Wuds, you have one of these don't ya?) and have played with it just long enough to have a few questions for the GOR guru's. Overall for PC playback...

Changed the oil on the XRL- smelled a bit fuel contaminated. If I'm running a little rich (only sign is a little black on the exhaust outlet, runs just fine), is that enough to cause this? Or was it more likely the time the bike spent on its side at various attitudes? How rich would you have to be to get the fuel smelling a bit, anyway? Dav...
