perhaps an oversimplification, but it stirs things up! Former world 250 champion Marco Melandri has seen first hand the devastating form Stoner can produce in winter testing and the Italian told MCN: "Casey uses a lot of traction control, and he is wonderful using it. "I use very, very much less than him. Almost the next step down from the setting I...

http://www.cyclenews.com/ShowStory.asp?HeadlineID=11873 27 mil and he cut a deal? OUCH!! Of course, when you're knockin' down 50+ Mil yearly it doesn't look *that* bad, but when you figure her Majesty is prolly snaggin' a healthy chunk too, that shit adds up...

There are sponsors and then there are SPONSORS! "In addition to MorrisÕ and RossmeyerÕs names, the teamÕs Buell 1125R will display Coca-Cola, Budweiser, Geico Insurance and Eagle Riders logos." ." http://roadracingworld.com/news/article/?article=31385 Not too shabby for a 1st year bike, I hope it shows well and they stick around...

http://roadracingworld.com/news/article/?article=31221 I saw no mention of who would actually throw down the Buck$, err, Pounds to fund what sounds to be a fairly ambitious deal. How does that work over there, a bond issue, or private sources?

Last week's Cycle News includes an interview with American Honda's Ray Blank, which I believe is the first real comment I've seen coming from a factory on the AMA situation (not including things from people in the racing teams themselves). What he mostly talks about with HR Abrams is concern that the fate of the factories is not being given adequate...

Does anyone know if the Brickyard will be wide open for the GP ?....or stadium seating only ? I'm wondering the same about the Mile. Last mile I attended there,..grandstand was priced a-bit more,..but there was also a general admission ? I'm thinking both will draw [big-time] & some of the mile crowd will be simply cause the GP crowd is in town...

Ginga Ninja Dun Good! Bradley Smith fastest on day 2 and 3 of the Jerez test. Unofficial lap record. 0.3s ahead of Talmasci. Only rider in the 1m46s Go Bradley! Now if he can just have more luck than Pasini did on the same bike last year. And work out how to really push in the first 2 laps. -- Julian Bond E&MSN: julian_bond at voidstar.com...

that season was during a spell when i was away from following top- level GP racing. but i'd read in the last year or so on this NG several guys slagging KRJr about how shatty a rider he is, along with nicky hayden. i got to thinking "KRJr's got a world title, cant be THAT bad". so i watched his 2001 title defense season...and the dude can flat ride....

Here's a thing. When Airwaves were talking about going to WSB, Ducati were talking about running a similar setup to MotoGP with the factory team and a satellite team closely tied to the factory so they would have 4 bikes working on set up on the new bike. So Airwaves pulled out and we have Biaggi/Xaus on the Sterilgarda team. Then Biaggi does an extra...

Yes I know it's only early days[1], but it's interesting to see De Puniet doing well in the Sepang test. Maybe Jerry Burgess was right when he tipped him as a potential top MotoGP rider a couple of years ago (maybe Burgess's endorsement was why De Puniet got hired, I was certainly skeptical at the time, although he did seem to do a reasonably solid job last...

Dani P posts the 2nd best time on day one in Sepang, then falls off, busts his hand and flies back to Spain. He may be out for a month. I guess Nicky Hayden will just have to turn more laps than anyone else to make up. Oh. Right. It's only the first day back after the break, but Stoner's up there near the top and the other 3 Ducatis are right at the...

http://roadracingworld.com/news/article/?article=31102 As much as this may help Ducati race here again, it might also help Buell's new bike too. we'll see...

According to Yvonne at Family Events (site promoter) tickets for the Indy Mile will go on sale thru Ticket-master Jan. 21, IIRC most of the Fairground's stadium seats are reserved, so if you're planning on going it might be a good idea not to wait too long, as I imagine the Mile will be the place to be and be seen on Saturday night...
