Thursday, June 4, Promoter's Track Day We left northern Virginia Wednesday, June 4, at 8PM, about two hours later than planned, due to weather and unrelated personal emergencies that took time to resolve. Finally, George, Justin, Mike, and I rolled west on the Dulles toll road, to Route15 north, to I-70 west, through the night, towing Justin's 24-foot...

I've tried about ten times now to watch today's race. It keeps throwing me out after a short time, occasionally longer than the previous attempt. Are they incompetent enough to be streaming the video to hard disk at well under the replay rate? (Last night they took four hours to get Doctor Who in place, despite its being filmed in January...). Had...

Just taken a look at the analysis at * resources.motogp . com /files/results/xx/2008/MotoGP/CAT/QP/analysis.pdf It looks like Stoner has the best race pace, able to dip into the 42s on race tyres, but behind him are about 6~8 people who look like they can run low 43s on race rubber - could be a terrific race. Rossi must be cursing the mistake that screwed...

Get a $15 gift card with any pair of tickets. Not much but if you didn't have them already it's better than no discount. Then again with all the ticket sales programs they've had this year perhaps eBay will be the place to find them as it seems LS can't give them away...

Hey guys Been quiet for a while because I've been in hospital for 3 weeks. My 'preparatory' race meeting for the TT ended with me breaking my left femur in 3 places, left tibia, jaw and 3 right metacarpels. All now have metalwork in, and I'm on the slow road to recovery. This was a close one - the paramedics had to give me CPR for 3 minutes before...

A few things from the Soup interview: * w w w .superbikeplanet . com /2008/Jun/080605rtk.htm Q: How would you describe your relationship with HRC? A: Without HRC, it wouldn't be possible to win races what we are doing now. We have a lot of freedom on the technical side of things, to do the things that we believe is best. Of course we have to always send...

Hello, I am a producer with the Discovery Channel and I wanted to let you know about some new features on our Turbo Website, which is about automobiles, motorcycles, boats and airplanes. We recently started a new feature at the website which allows visitors to submit a photo of their automobile or motorcycle to our Daily Ride blog. Once we put the photo...

So says story on front page at w w w .autosport . com . Actually says mix of 08 and 07; hybrid if you will. He says the 08 bike can never do two laps the same. Now will Ducati have the *alls to allow the other three guys the same kit?

We can't directly compare the pace of this year's races, but since WSBK ran the short course we can compare this year's WSBK with the last two years of AMA. Qualifying times may not be useful since WSBK uses qualifiers and the AMA doesn't. However, I'm curious how the race lap times compare. Anyone have that information? Anyone? Mark? Beuler? Ma...

I haven't been able to find anything regarding Ruben Xaus' condition after his crash @ Miller. He was moving VERY slowly (as were the corner workers), and the announcers never mentioned him afterwards. Anyone know if he's OK?

Is Mat's fire on the wane? I dunno' for sure, but he might be startin' to look "whupped on".. Is Spies a machine, or what? Not only does that kid possess incredible talent, but poise beyond his years too, little doubt now he's the real deal.. How many of our guys are looking at WSB next year, or rather, is WSB looking to snag a name, or two to pump...

Steve Plater has won a TT (600 junior) in his second year there. I think he's won Macau, a NW200 race and now a TT. Guys totally out of his depth. He has the best bike yet he is the worst American in the field, sure USA can dish up a better rider than this? One of those 2 Italian guys on the non factory honda should get the ride. How the fuck did he [beat?] *cough* Rossi Cheers P/S/O

Nice day at the ballpark, warmed up notably and lots of sun, yesterday was a bit mixed. pretty decent crowd, more than I expected, although nothing like Laguna circa 2002. The AMA races have been kind of boring at the front, with May in SSt repeating what Zemke did in FX yeterday, getting an edge of about two secondw and holding it. SB was pretty good...
