Anyone with the Harley Low rider Eloectrical Diag manual?? I could use the code definition for the "44" I'm getting from the engine light icon. Right now I can't start the bike, but the starter motor does turn over. There's plenty of gas, but I'm getting NO spark at the spark plugs. I jumpered the data link 1 and 2 pins for a readout. I constantly get...

Hi eveyone, I am looking to learn more about motorcycles, aftermarket products, and product satisfaction. I would really appreciate you taking 5 minutes to fill out this survey, so I can learn more about the industry. In an effort to increase responses, we will be offering rewards. At the end of the survey we will hold a drawing, for those who respond and...

[A word of Anglo Saxon origin, often used as a noun to mean 'nonsense' or as an expletive following a minor accident or misfortune] I have acquired another reg/rec. for my Viagra. One without a big bulging crack in it which has leaked noxious shiny stuff. I had to remove the exhaust to get to the old reg/rec [1] and discovered that it, the reg/rec, hasn't...

Have you ever wondered why Brake/Clutch Hand Levers jut out so much in as much that if your Cycle get's bumped over, the damage is extended to the master cylinders and not just the fairing, handlebar.... You may think it protects your hand in a HIT maybe if your not wearing knuckle gloves, but I find they tend to effectively pin your hand to the...

I have looked on line at Chinese made motorcycles. The price is certainly right for some of these. My question is, what experiences have people had who have bought Chinese motorcycles? Dave Hajicek

I have a chance to buy a 750 Midnight at a reasonable price but it has an oil leak from the sump. The owner believes the case has to be split and that it's a fairly simple job. Anyone any experience of this? Does it indicate other problems? Is it a straightforward job for someone with reasonable tech skills and a good toolkit (ie no special tools needed)? Thanks...

I'm using the same amount from the oil tank on my newly rebuilt 84 RZ-350 but the smoke and smell from the exhaust keep getting less and less, to the point I'm just a bit worried about adequit lubrication. The oil is low ash synthetic T2 (forget the name of the mfg) but maybe 2 stroke oil burns up better these days without any smoke. My friends when riding...

The r/r on my Virago has the following printed on it: '42X-A0' and 'SH569-12'. This one on eBay: * cgi.ebay.co.uk/Yamaha-FZR250-3LN-RECTIFIER-FZ-250-FZR-400-SH569-12_W0QQitemZ330158149685 ...has the same lower number but the top one is '47X-A1'. What do the different codes signify? -- Si - XV535

Does anybody here know of an online source for the qualities of the various grease compositions (lithium, moly, "synthetic" etc.) and their appropriate bike applications (hangers, plain/wheel/head bearings, etc.)? (For me anyway, it's not always obvious from labels what the apps for a particular grease are.) thanks for any clues, p

Took my XS650 out for a ride this weekend, first time in a month or so. The front brake was soft... by that I mean that I had to pull the lever maybe 1-1/2" before I felt resistance and I had to squeeze damn hard to get much feel out of the brake. Bad, I thought. But after riding for a couple of minutes (less than 10) the brake felt completely normal...

I've bought 3 days ago a wonderful vintage vespa (year 1964). I want to buy a very good alarm system that can protect my vespa from: 1. Anyone who try to lift it 2. Anyone who sit on it or touch it 3. Anyone who try to cut off the alarm system I'm also seeking an alarm system that has a pager that warn me (wherever I am) in the exact moment the alarm...
