the importance of a properly functioning petcock on an older bike is monstrous. most old ones leak when off-just enough to build up gasoline in your OIL-BEWARE.... question-should i rebuild mine or get a new one for a 1981 xj750 seca if new-where???? peace

i want to know from what rpm- what rpm the idle jets have an effect on performance.when you take off from a dead stop and it bogs a little, could that be idle jet related? after 3000 rpm the bike runs great, however, after a 15 min.ide,i pull the plugs and they are sooty-not wet.only the #1 cyl is not sooty adjusting the air screws does not seem to make much...

I have a 2001 1200 bandit that likes to beat me up once in a while. I like the bike and the power it has, but it seems a little rigid for me. I’m 6’ tall and weight about 155lbs. So i’m a bit light for the bike. I’ve had the bike for a couple years now, and the suspension seems to hold me back. Springs and valving could do the job if i can find someone...

Hi. I have a '78 cb400t. Just cleaned the carbs and as about to put them back in when i discovered that one of the throttle cables broke (there are two). My question is do I need the second cable at all? When I turn the throttle it pulls on the good cable and returns when i pull on the good cable on the carb end. If i do need that second cable, where...

Any recommendations for UK tyre dealers? Looking for cheap as possible - but not quite as cheap as Cheng Shin! TIA.

Searching for sources for odd electrical connectors used on late '80s BMW airheads and probably other German cars. Any good online sites and catalogs much appreciated. My most recent problem is a three pin connector between the Hall ignition cannister and the ICU. Mating rectangular connector housings with three flat pins and an external spring clip that...

I have a 1982 KZ-750 E (4 cylinder) that runs great. I am having a problem with hot starting. When the bike is cold, the starter cranks the engine over Ok, and the bike starts well. After riding the bike for a while (10-20 minutes) if I shut the engine off, the starter will not crank the engine over. It tries to crank, but it just doesn't have enough power...
