I drove my Shadow last fall. It seemed fine. Yes, it sat around all winter, but I just drained all the old gas out at the fuel filter hose (filter is not clogged BTW), put in fresh gas, removed air cleaner, checked coil resistance (OK), have decent spark in at least one plug, and have fuel flow at gas line to carbs, so fuel pump works. Battery is...

It used to be in auto electrics that if you tried fixing a system by swapping components with known good ones, you ran the risk of making the wrong choice and could end up frying the known good one (which was why there was a No Return policy on certain parts I am told). I don't know if that still applies with cars, but does it in any way apply with bikes,...

I am considering a windshield for my Hop Sing 250 for bug and weather protection. My first thought is that the windshield would improve the overall aerodynamics, as it seems much more streamlined than my lumpy body. Is that right? Will a windshield result in a slight performance improvement, or vice versa? Thanks for any replies. Conrad "Connie" Eat...

Hi, I don't have a manual for this bike yet, so these questions may be easy. I have a 1980 JR50 that I'm trying to get running for my kids. First Problem: If kick starting hard, the clutch slips thus the crank does not turn. I have adjusted the clutch by turning the adjustment under the small clutch cover until it starts to resist, then backed off...

I have an old injury in my left wrist that causes pain when I use the clutch a lot. Stop-and-go traffic is particularly bad. Is there any way to make the clutch lighter to operate? My clutch is hydraulic (1996 CBR1000F). -- RoRo

Good Evening! My nephew called me last night. The bike he just bought won't start. I'm going to try to help him get it going again, and thought I'd do a little research first. I've read the posts related to no start conditions, but I thought I'd also post a message here too. One thing I know I'm going to need is an electrical diagram - does any one have one...

Hey guys, does anyone have the specs on the pilot screw setting? Just cleaned carbs and was using 2 1/2 turns out. Was wondering if that is right.

Yamaha Virago XV750 Engine I acquired this engine when buying a complete bike recently, but it is surplus to requirements; as such I have no information on the history. I have not tested it, so it is being sold as a potential project or for parts only. Engine number: 3AL-025622. The engine rotates freely and has compression, spark plugs in plug holes...
