Another depressing data point: today I saw an Omega enlarger put out on the curb on my way home. (A little 35mm one.) Nearly complete. -- The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter. - Attributed to Winston Churchill

I am well aware that probably all modern enlarger lenses are pretty good. The question arises, is the Componon HM series any advantage for black & white printing over the Componon -S I am pretty thick about reading any graph curves but the Componon - S curves seem flatter than the HM ones. The Rodenstock charts seem to be a lot easier to understand, well...

_____ Hello All, I have been reading about divided developers for film. Never tried it; looks promising though! Do any of you in this group have any experience with this approach? The reason for my interest is the fact that i live in the country and that my house disposes of waste water via a septic tank system. Hence, i want to minimise the amounts...

Hi everyone. Here's something interesting that was discovered after separately developing two rolls of 35mm T-Max film: a type of apparent exposure outside of the sprocket holes, starting at the beginning of the roll and tapering off in intensity and width, disappearing completely after about frame 10. They are about 2-3/4" (7cm) apart from center to center,...

A friend of mine is getting rid of his Fuji SFA-248 minilab printer, as well as the parts machine that is identical, but missing parts. Is there anywhere this sort of parts cavalcade could be used, and where would be the best place to advertise it? Thanks in advance. Joe
