Hi all, I was puzzled by some comments in these articles about the Apollo mission regarding the resolution of color film being scanned. Anyone here know what was being used, and why a 2800 ppi scan would be "well past the grain" of a 6x6 frame, as is claimed in these articles? http :// apollo.sese.asu.edu/ABOUT_SCANS/index.html http :// apollo.sese.a...

Hi! I'm practicing darkroom work for about 5 months now as a hobby using Tri-X and X-Tol(1:1) as my film/dev combo, printing my 35mm Neg's on Multigrade RC-Paper from 18x24 to 24x30 (cm), so my experience is pretty moderate. When I look at pictures from my favourite Photographers like Larry Towell, Koudelka, Burri etc. i always wondered how to achieve...

I need to outfit my darkroom with safelights. I currently have red safelights, which I am not fond of, but seems to be all that I can find here. :-( Someone gave me a Kodak safelight (large cone-shaped thing with a 15 watt bulb in it) complete with an OA and an OC filter. It had not been used in many years, it still had a U.S. plug on it and a 120 volt...

I don't know why I put off visiting the Ansel Adams exhibit at the Cleveland Institute of Art for so long. The Meredith family collection of 110 of Adams' prints is truly amazing. Seeing many of the prints in person that I have in books was quite an eye-opener. The books do not do these prints justice! Unfortunately, the exhibit closes after Sunday, but if anyone...

I just purchased a Durst F60 enlarger. It came without any documentation at all, and I need a manual or cleaning instructions. It sat for a long time in a very dry, but dusty place and needs to be taken apart and have the glass cleaned. Any help would be appriciated. Thanks in advance, Geoff. -- Geoffrey S. Hi, I have a chance to get an Omega SCA-100 color analyzer for $35.00. Does it work well? Is it worth buying? Thanks!
