Hi, I want to read some old articles on Lloyd Erlick's web site, which was http://www.heylloyd.com in my bookmarks. But these days I find it's not reachable no longer. Does these articles moved to a new site? Particularly, I want to find tech articles about single-tray processing. Thanks if you can give any clue. - woody

Hi, I've had a discussion with a friend of mine about darkroom safe light. Even if on Ilford Multigrade paper box a light brown safelight is indicated, in my opinion a red safelight works well too. Or, better, red light is "more universal" than light brown one. Is this correct? Thanks all P.

Here you have a videotutorial on how to make a tree with the picture of a hand. I think that the result is really funny http://www.spymac.com/details/?2334927 These are some pictures I've made with the "tree" http://www.spymac.com/details/?2336771 http://www.spymac.com/details/?2336772 http://www.spymac.com/details/?2335736 I hope you like...

Saw a type of dry-mount press I'd never seen before at my local recycled-goods place. It's definitely not a Seal, Inc. press, which is the only type I've seen until now. This one has a larger frame, and in addition to the heated platen and bed, there's an intermediate part with a plastic sheet held between two rods that goes between the platen and bed....

http://www.digoliardi.net/punch.jpg That is a scan of a Linhof negative punch. Would anyone here know, or even guess if it has an approximate print frame or negative carrier? Thank you in advance! Pico

Ok, so I found an Omega B-22 with safelight, timer, lenses, neg carriers and a couple of 11x14 trays for $75. I'll be doing both fiber and RC so need some ultra-economic ideas (both cost-wise and space-wise) for washing, squeeging and drying. Homegrown solutions for washing? Convert a leaky aquarium, set up a tray washer, buy a used vertical washer,...

I am so bummed out. Dropped and scratched the double-glass film holder for the Focomat IIa. I have never seen them FS or auction. Any ideas on what kind of glass I should be looking for? I think I may have no choice but to cut a couple glass 4x5 holders and shim them tight. Until then, retouch, retouch, retouch.

There's a decent looking Beseler 23 series with a cold light head on Craigslist. I've read that one needs to do additional filtration on the cold light heads. Is that true? If so, what type of filter? Thanks, Greg

dear ng, just beginng to dive into the subject matter of the negative-positive process I stumbled upon the data sheets of Kodak color printing papers and wondered why they all show such steep characteristic curves. Shouldn´t their gamma value be around 1,4 so that in combination with the negative there is a gamma of 1? Is this just because people love prints...
