I was wondering about buying a cubitainer of part A of Kodak Rapid Fixer instead of mixing F-9 fixer all the time. But sometimes I do not use it very fast, so perhaps I should get the smaller size. How long does the stuff last, unmixed, in the cubitainer? I have great difficulty finding this information on Kodak's web site. They tell me the lifetime of...

I hav bought some NOVA ProSpeed C41 chemistry, to develop a few films. The enclosed leaflet gives only development times for intermittenet agitation (5sec evvery 30 sec.), but I intend to use a JOBO CPE rotary developing apparatus. Does anybody know how much the developing times should be reduced ? Regards John Dancke Norway

Registration punches and carriers for projection (enlarging) 8x10 and also for contact printing 8x10 and larger. All I've found so far are very large registration punches intended for nonphotographic printing, or some dauntingly expensive photographic systems. Desperation (the father mother of invention) leads me to think a decent system can be made...

My Zone vi vc cold light head seems to be losing punch & the ability to control contrast as well as it did a few years ago.... Do these things wear out & need to be replaced? Suggestions? -- -Lew The workers took the robot for Maria.

Chris - you wrote that you gravity bleed your brakes. So I read up on it. That is one head smacking solution! So it goes like this, right - make sure there's plenty of fluid, open the bleeders and so something else for an hour, close 'em and it's a done deal? (Catch the fluid, of course.)

Good news. The two gears and chain apparatus that couple the head's forward and back movement were missing. I got the parts from the local tractor shop, and installed them before noon today, Sunday. Perfect fit! Got to love made stone-standard US industrial parts. Now to replace the brake lines on the '58 Bug. Converting to US standard in the proc...

I know nothing about cold heads (except being bald in a Minnesota Winter). Need something for the 8x10 Saltzman enlarger. On EvilBay there is an Aristo T12. Seller wants $575 BIN. Here is the ad copy: "This is the top-of-the-line 8x10 enlarger light source. Aristo T12 High Intensity Light Head is a two part unit -lamp housing and power pack- which...

Someone gave me an old enlarger. It has no markings on it, but it came with a set of Paterson trays, Paterson tongs and a Paterson 3 element lens, so I'm guessing it is a Paterson enlarger. I have no data on it's age, but it came with a bulk loader still contaning film with the flap from a roll of Tri-X with a 1990 expiration date. It consists of a...
