The micro 4/3rds cameras are NOT high ISO machines, PERIOD. If you shoot at 100-200 ISO, then they are capable of some exceptionally good images, but beyond that there is noise and other problems. Witness the one in this post. It's at 3200 ISO, but it is reduced to less than 1/4 of it's original size and it shows noise, excessive noise removal, low resolution...

I have owned about 5 different memory card readers used with 4 computers and 6 reinstalls of XP Pro and a dozen+ memory cards. All of these combinations have been intermittent. That is, sometimes when you put the card in the reader the pictures don't appear. I remove the card and reinsert it and usually the pictures are there this second time. Why...

If I understand right what I've been reading in various reviews and guides, cameras like the D60 or D200 will display a little 'in focus' light in the viewfinder when you're using manual focussing, even when using unrelated manual lenses with an adapter (one guy was talking about using his Leica lenses that way). I've gleaned little indication...

Nothing technical or anything. I stopped my car in traffic a few days ago and got out to take a snapshot of this bizarre cloud formation just before sunset. I thought some here might like it. The composition could be better, but it was a grab shot that I was lucky to get at all. I tweaked the curves in PS a bit and cropped it minimally, and sized it...

I had a few NiMH AA batteries sitting around in storage that hadn't been used in a couple years. I looked at them just now and a couple of them were leaking a white crystalline-like substance from the positive end. Anyone know what this substance is exactly? Is it toxic and/or corrosive?

email I got from ASMP today: Concerns over security can sometimes make law enforcement officers, security guards, and even private citizens get carried away. A number of government agencies have been encouraging citizens to report ?suspicious behaviors,? and one of the specific activities often listed as suspicious is photography. By way of specific...
