I have been asked to help buy a compact digital camera, and am currently, with the intended purchaser, making our shortlist of models to look at based on published spec.s and reviews. But as we all know, published spec.s very rarely say anything about shutter lag... She wants a camera that can go with her all the time, so it needs to be small. Main interests...

I'd had an F10 do the same thing, and it was repaired under warranty by a local Fuji service center (they replaced the entire lens assembly). This...

I bought a Philips 3MP Retro Style Ultra-thin pocketsize camera, PT4434 because I needed a thin camera to keep in my shirt pocket. Walmart has them for sale cheap. http://www.google.com/search?q=Philips+3MP+Retro+Style+Ultra-Thin+Camera Unfortunately, it doesn't do .jpg encoding on the camera, instead, it saves the images in .RAW format. The variant...

What a joke. There is no part of any picture taken at any setting with this thing that's sharp and in focus. The $10 throw away camera has better focus and color balance than this thing. The 1 megapixel, floppydrive model I had 5 years ago took superb pix compared to this. Is this what happened to Nikon? Or does yours work perfectly and this one is broken...

(Cross-posted) Does anyone use the Helicon Filter Free 4.27 software to remove noise? How are you satisfied with it (if you are using it)? Pros and cones? I'm rather new to the digital photography and I'd like to learn how to use the noise reduction software (noise tends to appear in my poor lightning photographs, I'm still learning how to avoid it),...
