What is the best software to quickly fix photos. Before rushing to say Photoshop, while I agree for more complex digital photo manipulation it can't be beat, I want something that does common corrections the average novice often needs, such as red eye, bluring , dust removal, lighting adjustments, etc quickly. Ideally what program has the best "one step...

Has anyone bought any of the Panasonic compatible accessories for this camera? I'd like to save $80 on a back-up battery... Plus, the wide angle conversion lens looks interesting.

Folks, I need a very simple and, most importantly, very lightweight camera (in the 50 grams range, max.) which I want to attach to a small R/C helicopter to take aerial pictures. After some searching I found the "VistaQuest VQ3005" which seems just ideal for my purpose (data sheet at www.vistaquestusa.com). However I cannot find any place to sell...

Living with a very nice film SLR, and a digital p&s, i decided to investigate a serious ditial p&s as my travel camera: compact size, 28-200 range, manual control. Frankly, I am disgusted that with so many companies flooding the market with so many models that they must be running out of model numbers to name them, they have all decided not to offer even...

I was intrigued by the G9 announcement. I was hoping for a redesign of G7 that would include 28mm. For me, no wide angle is a deal breaker. Otherwise addition of RAW and $100 price drop is nice. The bump from 10MP to 12MP is usual meaningless gimmick. OH well, still no p&s camera which covers 28-200 and permits meaningful user control of exposure and...

I've currently got a Sony DSC-P93, which has slowly been going downhill. The images are coming out poor most of the time, regardless of settings, and besides that, I think it's time for an upgrade anyway. I need a *good* digital point & shoot with something more than 3X optical zoom, and with a *good* movie mode with sound. I do NOT want to get into...

I look at Panasonic LX2 (= Leica D-LUX 3). It is perfect in every way except one: the zoom range is too small. Then there is TZ3. Perfect in zoom range and most every way except one: lack of aperture/shutter priority. It is so frustrating that camera companies always leave out one feature I would really want! :-)

I've just gotten a Mustek MDC-830Z 8.1 MegaPixel camera. It's my first digital camera. It seems nice enough but I really run through that little Li-ion battery pretty rapidly and I think that using the LCD to set up every shot is a big part of the power drain. It has an optical range finder with a diopter adjustment wheel on the optical range finder that...

I am looking for an all-purpose travel camera which I can always keep with me. I made a list of all the features I would want and DPreview tells me it doesn't exit! Great. So which of the following features would you give up in a travel camera if it were your only camera: 1. Manageable size. Not necessarily light, but should fit a big pocket. 2. At...

I understand that Panasonic LX2 and Leica D-LUX 3 are almost identical cameras, except in "signal processing". If you have experience with both, how do the two compare? Does Leica's signal processing produce better photos to justify the $150-200 price difference? Thanks.
