A couple of years ago I ordered a replacement memory card door for a Canon PowerShot. I can't find that phone number, tho' I've searched my computer's hard drive and the web for it. Would someone please post it here? Thanks, -- DaveC me@bogusdomain.net This is an invalid return address Please reply in the news group

I am planning on purchasing my first digital camera, and since I am neither a photography expert nor intend to become one, I thought I would see what others thought I should buy. All comments are welcome: I would hope to purchase the camera for less than $250. Any suggested merchants? I believe I want an optical resolution of 10 or 12...

Hello everyone. I am supposed to give advice to a friend who is trying to decide whether to buy a Kodak C613 or a C713. On kodak's product specification pages, there is the following info on C613 and C713, respectively: C613: Click to capture < 0.7 sec. at > 0.5 m, wide, preview off, flash off Shot to shot < 3 sec. until buffer full, < 5 sec. after...

Can you folks tell me what I am doing wrong? I'm just getting started with digital photography using a Nikon Coolpix L4 camera. I took some pictures of a recent snowfall and the pictures all showed greenish snow. Sky was very overcast but bright. I was using the "scene" setting for snow. So what is going on? Thanks for listening. -- Mike

A terrible thing happened over Christmas. A friend lent me a Canon EOS 400D with the kit lens (I think), after my point and shoot (Canon IXUS 800) died two weeks earlier. We still had our old Fuji F10, but it's cripplingly slow to focus indoors, and very prone to over/under exposing subjects with flash, so pretty useless for taking photos of Christmas day!...

Hey, did I see you hanging out in here? :) I just got my first digital p-n-s camera. I shopped quite a bit and ended up with a Fuji A820. My needs were: something cheap and small to toss in the car and/or my gear bag for work, because I don't routinely carry my DSLR stuff with me, and I got tired of wishing a routinely had at least snapshot capabilities. My...
