I think I had been posting on the wrong digital group and the Dimage is a slr. Please advise. Directions say to select accessory setting to use the wide angle converter. But then all zoom capabilities are lost. The camera appears to zoom, auto focus etc with the default settings. Can quality pictures be taken with the wide angle left on the camera in...

Looks like, based on specs, the FZ8 has a few nice features over the FZ7 (Raw mode and a better EVF amongst others) that see to make it a worthwhile choice.

Can anyone who has experience of using studio flash lighting tell me how they are triggered. Does one use a radio link triggered by the camera, or are the lights a sort of "slave" that is triggered by the camera flash, or what? Bill
