Materials technology has changed a great deal in the past few decades, so I am hoping (L-A-Z-Y) that there might be a flexible, nonsticky, spray-on coating that can be applied inside and outside a large bellows (for 10X10" enlarger). For smaller bellows I patch pinholes using a material intended for those old 'soft top' hardtops of the Seventies. It...

When you use a view camera for macro work you have long extention on the bellows. You then need to compensate for the lost light to calculate a proper exposure. Does somebody have an easy way to calculate the exposure compensation? I am using a 6x9 Linhof and want to play with a 5.6/100 Componon-S. I guess you don't compensate down to 1m? ......but...

I ask because there are three lenses currently available to me (maybe), and I'd like to find out if they have any application in LF photography. They're all Fuji Hexanon GRIIs, all f/9, in 150 mm, 210 mm and 300 mm lengths. They're currently on a process camera. Anyone know anything about these? -- The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation...

I am getting a 15" F/11 Red Dot Artar (it's on an enlarger arriving soon). Never heard of such. Has anyone some information on that specific lens?

1950 seems to be the date of the factory shutter flash synch for Ikonta & Super Ikontas. I got a great, clear reprint, "IKONA & Super-Ikonta Guide" by "The Camera Guide", 1952. I haven't finished it yet, but it does list just which models had shutters with flash synch. Prontor, Compur and Compur Rapid shutters for the Ikonta and Super Ikontas since...

I happen to have all three sets of Kodak rotary-processing recommendations for Tmax 400 in front of me: the old (prior to move to new coating facility) Publication F-32, the "new" (first generation at new coating faciity) F-4016, and the "newest" (current production, "finer grain!") F-4032. Kodak claims that the "finer grain" TMY -- the newest stuff --...

Hello, Anyone out there happen to have the dimensions for a standard 5x7 film holder? I'm reverse engineering a quick 5x7 box camera and thought I'd get started on it the while I wait for a film holder I ordered online to arrive.. Thanks
