I bought a Pentax 67 with 105mm lens on eBay. No camera manual. I loaded film into it, rolled the film forward and pressed the shutter release: Whap. The camera then froze: no more film advance or shutter release. Looking into the camera without the lens, it appears the mirror lock up function locked the mirror up. Two questions. How did that...

I just got a sheet film back for a Medalist. I have very rarely seen the sheet film holders, at least described in a manner I would recognize. Does anyone have any or know who may have some? The sheet film backs still command a decent price on eBay, but I have wonder what people are using them for if the sheet film holders are that scarce. Conventional...

Total newbie to medium format, with a newly-acquired used Mamiya m645 (J?). Apparently it has cassettes or cartridge that allow it to take "120" or "220" format. But ... How are they different? Are not the images the same dimensions? (6mm x 4.5mm?) Is it just a matter of how long the roll of film is, and therefore (a) how many pictures can be taken on...

Harrumph, Just got my Mamiya 7II back from Mamiya America Corp.'s repair service. The little plastic fold-out knob that winds the blackout curtain split and fell off. They put on a new one. A five cent piece of plastic ... and $65.00 to replace it and $15.00 to ship it UPS ground back to me (I live about 14 miles from their offices). Ah, space-age...

To have photo money start rolling in, there's no need to be Ansel Adams. You just need to be competent. The mere fact that you've considered starting a photography career - and you have, or you wouldn't be reading this - says that you more than likely have all the shooting skill necessary to generate lots of happy clients - and to make plenty of money selling...

I have had one of these for a couple of years (or so I thought until I sold it). The buyer is concerned that the screen is mounted in a frame that says "Mamiya" on it. Can anyone tell me if this is the normal frame for the Beattie Intenscreen on the Mamiya RZ? I am having no luck finding detailed photos on the internet. thanks and regards, ~Ray

Does anyone know of a TLR with a continuously variable shutter speed? In other words the shutter will produced speeds in between the standard ones i.e. 1/60, 1/125, etc.? Thanks, Steve

If you own Hasselblad and Contax 645, you might want to know this. I just got my HB to Contax 645 adapter, brand new. It costs me less than $70 after s&h. The adapter fits excellently. No more rattling that is common to other EOS adapters. Feels just like the regular Contax lens to the Contax 645 body or the HB lens to HB body. I've tried to bid for...
