Hello everyone, I am wanting opinions on which 2nd hand medium format camera to buy. I am currently using a Nikon F4 as my film camera using velvia slide film. I want to increase the film size, I like shooting people, but also enjoy taking landscapes and scenery when traveling. My budget in $1000 to start with so that limits the field I know. Any...

I was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations for 120 processing by mail? I currently use A&I. They do a good job, but they can be incredibly slow. I'm in a rural area and no one around here develops anything but 35 mm.

It looks as if DarbeeVision uses some form of advanced image stacking to do their defocus and subtract to get the depth information. I looked up their US patent # 7043074 and they do have very interesting IP that applies to using image pairs, multiplets. One of their accepted claims even covers aligned image pairs (wouldn't this be the unsharp mask?)....

Hi, I'm looking for a scanner/printer that do negatives. I have found the Canon Pixma MP970, but I don't think it can do medium format film, not having much luck with any of the sales guys.... may just end up buying a Canoscan 8800F? Thanks for your help, Marcus

So now that Sinar Bron US removed their President, does anyone know what the prospects for Sinar in the US are? Will this even matter?

I recently was given a Yashica A Camera with a Sunpak 555 Flash Unit. My question is what shutter speed setting do I use when using the flash unit. I seem to remember the correct setting was 1/60 of a second. I have searched on line for an owner's manual for the flash unit, but no luck. Somebody tell me if I am correct with the 1/60 setting. --- avast!...

I have a number of Mamiya C330s and am planning on selling a couple of them. But I don't know how to evaluate the relative value of some of teh accessories. I have both a prism finder and a "sports finder" that looks like the prism but uses mirrors instead of a big hunk of glass. Which one of these is considered to be the more desirable? Or perhaps...

It was/is my understanding that the old Zeiss Super Ikonta 'flash' shutter was called a Synchro, and that the Rapid and other shutters had no flash terminal. However, on that big auction site a fellow has one with a Rapid shutter and claims that it has a flash terminal. He says it is just next to the shutter cocking lever. Is this atypical or am I...
