I've been out of touch for more decades than I care to admit. At some future point I must be able to project digital images onto a screen, but it seems the days of the 35mm slide projector are over. What is now the best way to project digital images onto a screen? The digital projectors one can rent apparently only handle video formats, but I suspect that...

How To Go About Buying A Digital Camera Keeping in mind that the image sensor and the lens are the two most important areas to look at when buying a digital camera, you can then look beyond them at other features as well. The features, of course, will depend on what kind of a photographer you are ... Read This Full Article Report At: http://www.3mi...

I have here on my disk: * a TIFFEN 801 RETAINER RING MADE IN U.S.A. * a ring with just the tiniest bit larger outside diameter, *apparently* the same threads -- either one can screw into the other -- but no markings whatshoever. They came in two boxes: * TIFFEN Lens Accessory 801 RETAINING RING * TIFFEN adapter ring 57 SS-8 The...

Using a Digital Camera Panoramic Photography Mode Panoramic digital photos cover a wide angle of view. In its extreme a panoramic photo can cover 360 degrees of view. Such panoramic photos are for example taken from a sky scraper to convey the view it provides. Most new digital cameras provide a panoramic mode that supports such photography. Read This...

I recently borrowed a Canon Rebel EOS because a client I'm shooting for prefers that I shoot digitally. (Please keep in mind that I've only shot digitally once. I'm more used to shooting MF or LF film.) I thought the Rebel would've had a place to plug in a sync cord for strobes, but it doesn't. Is there a slave unit, etc. that anyone could recommend for...

I was wondering if anyone on this forum has used strobes from Alien Bees. I'd really appreciate some feedback about them. I'm in the market for a couple 320 watt second monolights, but wasn't sure if I'd regret getting the AlienBees seeing as how they're relatively cheap. So far I've only used Profotos (which I loved), Speedotrons (but only with power paks)...

I am looking for an m55 to M42(universal Mount) step down adapter. I want to use already owned M42 lenses with an M55 camera body thread. I already know I will have to handle everything manually but I have no problem with that.

I accidentally dinged the flat side of a condenser lens with the edge of another lens, made a small gouge probably a couple of 1/1000ths " deep give or take - I can feel it with a fingernail - and it's quite visible when projecting an image through it. Will one of these windshield repair kits with a sunlight hardened resin make the ding optically invisible...

My wife is interested in Macro Photography, and I found a cheap ring flash at a second-hand store recently. It says "ACCESS Ring Flash" and "Made in Japan" with no further information, or model numbers, or brand names, or anything. I would like to be able to screw this to a standard 55mm filter mount. Measuring the "filter ring" threads, it appears...
