We are going to be staying at Grand Canyon S. Rim for three days. So will get lots of pics of the Canyon area, but what are some more picturesque spots that might be within an hours drive, or not too far off from the highway running from Phoenix to the South Rim?

I'm looking for a consumer grade underwater digital capable of taking snorkeling shots. Because we go someplace I canuse it only once ever 2-3 years I'm looking for something that would be usable for other purposes (like wet weather hiking), not a special purpose setup.
