I am 65 and my vison in the last two or so years has been getting worse for reading. I have been buying magnafying reading glass. Now, when I try to read, it is like looking through glasses that are smeered with vasaline. I had my vision checked and got perscription reading glasses. There is absolutely no difference and I still cannot focus to read. ...

Hello all, I was told that my doctor would do PRK on me and was told about the "longer" healing times. Yes, YMMV, but for someone with a -3 and -3.75, what would you guess the healing time "should" be? Thanks Paula

About a month ago, my eyes started flickering - the best way to describe it is looking at a computer monitor with a repetition rate of maybe 10 Hz or so? I have it 24/7 but it's much more noticeable when I look at monochromatic walls. My refresh rate on the retina seems delayed, meaning that when I look at an object and then close my eyes, I still see...

Hi, I've been pricing lenses. At my regular store high index 1.67 single vision with crizal alize are 319. At walmart 1.67 lenses with zeiss coating are 160. With zeiss coating at my regulat store they're 270. I asked walmart who manufactures their plastic and they said seiko or zeiss, while my regular store says their manufacturer varies. I am aged 50 and have never needed glasses. I had an eye test and the results came out thus Right -0.75 -0.5 x .75 Left -0.75 Add 1.75 I am told that this means I am not suitable for Lasik surgery.
