[...The Story of Emily The efficacy of the method of treating imperfect sight without glasses has been demonstrated in thousands of cases. not only in my own practice but in that of many persons of whom I may not even have heard; for almost all patients when they are cured proceed to cure others. At a social gathering one evening a lady told me that she...

[...THE PREVENTION AND CURE OF MYOPIA AND OTHER ERRORS OF REFRACTION A Method That Succeeded You cannot see anything with perfect sight unless you have seen it before. I have had bifocals for about 10 yrs now and picked up a pair of progressive lenses this morning. My vision is 20/20, but the doctor thought plus 1.5 would be benefitial for looking at a computer screen and reading. I am having a very hard time understand why there is such a small vertical area of the lenses I can actually see clearly out of. I went back...

Hello, I know many people who benefited from the Bates method. Out of curiosity, has anyone improved their eyesight to perfect? i.e. started with 20/50 or worse and improved it to better than 20/20? Please briefly share your experience, PA

I just had cataract surgery in my left eye last week, and an intraocular lens was placed by the ophthalmologist. I'm having the right eye done in a few days. My vision in my left eye, with the implanted lens, is excellent. I haven't had it checked yet but I'm guessing it's 20/15. Prior to the surgery, it was about 20/200. My question: I believe...

Hi. I'm 60 and am in the middle of a vitreous detachment. It started with a symmetrical, snowflake-like pattern in the middle of my vision. That was in Dec. '07. That pattern has darkened some over time, making it increasingly difficult to read or view a computer screen. In Jan. '08, I noticed some distortion of vertical lines, and this has also pregressed...

In the other thread I started, one of the Bates aficionados said that I need to have an "open mind". I fully agree. I think it's a very important thing, which is why I always try to maintain an open mind. But not so open that my brain falls out. :-)
